🎸 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 has been part of the New Orleans music scene since the ’80s — writing songs that stick with you and playing them like he means it.
He got his start with 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗺𝘂𝗿𝘀 — an award-winning band that helped put him on the map — before stepping out front with the 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱. His sound blends pop, rock, country, and funk, and he’s played everywhere from 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮’𝘀 to 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝘇 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁. 🎶🔥
He’s penned over 𝟭,𝟱𝟬𝟬 songs — with more than 𝟱𝟬 picked up by artists from Nashville to NOLA. He co-wrote most of 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 “𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗮” 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘀’𝘀 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗢𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲, and had a streaming hit with Svrcina’s “Island,” which passed 1 million plays on Spotify. 🌊📀
These days, he fronts 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 with 🎸 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗺𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿, teaches songwriting at Tulane and history at Loyola and LSU — a musician, a storyteller, and a guy who never stopped doing the work.
