Southwest Lutheran Church will host Cars & Caring, a Car Show with Mental Health & Wellness Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st. Southwest Lutheran Church is located at 5120 Homestead Road. Proceeds from the event will benefit New Mercies Ministries.The Congregation invites the community to enjoy a day of outdoor fun and indoor engagement as Southwest Lutheran Church hosts Cars & Caring, a Car Show with Mental Health & Wellness Fair, the Creation Marketplace and a Family Fun Zone with Touch-A-Truck area. Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker is expected to make an appearance to read a proclamation at noon.
Outside, at the Car Show, you will find dozens of classic cars to explore with up to 20 People’s Choice awards to be given. Indulge in delicious offerings from Matt’s Hitchen’ Kitchen food truck and Fairfax Coffee & Records’ trailer. Enjoy the music of Adam Strack on the outdoor stage and see a 1969 original-owner Dodge Dart. Families can enjoy the Family Fun Zone where children can bounce around in the bounce house, have their face painted and experience the Touch-A-Truck area with vehicles scheduled to appear from Republic Services, SonShine Christian Academy, the Allen County Sheriff SWAT team and the Indiana National Guard.
