Carroll County 4-H Residential Summer Camp: Ages 10-16

July 8-12, 2024: 4‑H Camp empowers young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. Held at beautiful Camp Hashawha, Carroll County 4-H hosts two residential camping weeks. Week 2 is for older campers ages 10-16. At camp, we emphasize making new friends, trying new things, and learning to live and work as a group. Our campers are assigned to small groups that become their “family” for the week. Program activities vary from year to year, depending on the camp theme. Activities include hiking and nature time, recreational games, crafts, large group games, outdoor cookery, archery, and educational classes. Pool time is scheduled each day, weather permitting. The traditional campfire is a highlight of the week and a chance for campers to plan and perform group songs, skits, and cheers.

Cabins hold 36 campers and staff members and feature their own individual restrooms and showers. Meals are provided by Hashawha and served family style. Staff members include both youth teen leaders and adults who have undergone 30 hours of training. We are accredited through the American Camp Association.
