This event is a Regional A&S Fair and baronial birthday to celebrate Carraig Ban's 50 years of existence. Event Website: https://sites.google.com/view/carraig-ban-golden-ann-2024/
This event will be the first Midlands Regional Arts and Sciences Fair since before the Plague Times. It will also be Carraig Ban’s 50-year Baronial Birthday, in the hopes of starting a tradition of winter Baronial Birthday events. The event will be Italian-themed, as the barony began over a spaghetti dinner. Therefore, the event will include an Italian feast of both period-appropriate dishes and the Creatively Anachronistic signature dish.
The Fair will be open to those who wish to display their work and those who wish to compete, with clear indicators of both. The day will also have spaces for an Artisan’s/Crafter’s Green, bardic, socializing, and potentially dancing.
Additionally, we would like to host a By the Boke Rapier Tournament!
This would also be an excellent opportunity to host displays of rarer materials: perhaps the 50 Year Quilt, historical materials, or other displays of note!
Lunch will be a complimentary day board supplemented by a soup contest.
There will be a competition on the theme of 50 years in the SCA, or, more generally, our work and fun over a long term.
Proposed Entry Cost, Member $13.00
Proposed Entry Cost, Non-Member $23.00
Proposed Lunch Cost $0
Proposed Feast Cost $12.00
