Carols by Candlelight Concerts 2024

As night falls, witness the Cathedral aglow with over 3,000 twinkling candles, creating a timeless and sacred atmosphere that embraces the true spirit of the season. Seating

Seating in the side aisles (brown and white tickets) is un-allocated and will be issued on a first come, first served basis on the night. We advise guests arrive early for these seats.

The seating map provided on Eventbrite is intended as a general guide for reference purposes and may not be fully reflective of the actual seating arrangements.

Please note that guests are not permitted to stand in the aisles as these must be kept clear for emergency access.

Accessibility

W ells Cathedral is a wheelchair accessible venue, and accessible seating and wheelchair spaces are available. Complimentary carer tickets are available upon request to [email protected]

Dedicate a Candle

Dedicate a candle to a loved one this Christmas, and add to the light of thousands of others at the Carols by Candlelight Concerts. Your message will be written around the base of one of the thousands of candles that will be lit each night. You can also choose to have your message printed in the programme as a keepsake.

Pre-Candlelight Dinner - £19.00 per head

As last year, there is the option to pre-book a delicious, two course, pre-concert meal at 5pm in the Cathedral café, now known as The Loft.

Main course:

1) Local sausages with creamy mashed potato and cider gravy

2) Homemade salmon and dill quiche with warm new potatoes and garnish

3 ) Ratatouille stuffed jacket potato with grated mozzarella (optional for vegans) (V,GF)free

Dessert:

1) Viennese mince pie with clotted cream

2) Homemade brownie with clotted cream (GF)

T ea and Coffee complementary; bar with soft and alocoholic drinks available.

Refundable tickets: insurance terms and conditions

• Insurance covers tickets purchased via the Wells Cathedral Eventbrite portal.
• The Beneficiary is the owner of an insured ticket. Refunds can only be issued via the original payment method.
• The insurance cover begins at the time the ticket is purchased and ends at the beginning of the event.
• Insurance can only be purchased simultaneously with tickets. Later purchase is not possible.
• If insurance is only purchased on some of the ticket holder’s tickets, only these tickets will be covered by the insurance.
• Refunds can be issued to the ticket holder if they are unable or no longer wish to attend for any reason.
• The refund will include the ticket value with the value of the insurance premium.
• To receive a refund, the ticket holder must provide the original order number and the original confirmation email.
• When the refund has been issued, tickets will immediately be made available for general re-sale and may not be available for re-purchase by the beneficiary.

Tickets purchased without insurance are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled by the Cathedral.

Candle Dedications and Pre-Candlelight Dinners are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
