Caroline Reid is a contemporary landscape artist based in Canberra, creating works that range from dynamic abstraction to detailed realism. Her art is driven by a fascination with the language of light on the land and the hidden currents of water beneath it.Her exhibition WILD LIGHT explores the scarred and shifting landscapes across the Australian continent.
From the luminous pink lakes of Western Australia, through the searing deserts of the Centre, to the lush tropics and the cropped paddocks of the farmed east, as well as the human-made landscapes of Melbourne, Reid lets the spirit of the land resonate—alive, raw, and vibrating before the viewer.
