Come and see Caroline Karp's exhibition - Sunflowers Sails and Coastal Art. The exhibition which includes paintings of Tampa Bay the Rainbow River Davis Island Yacht Club and Safety Harbor runs until August 30th at the Safety Harbor Museum. Admission is free on weekdays and the museum is open 10-4.
Caroline who walks Bayshore with her dog Arya every day paints water because its color shifts at a glance. “If you live by the water your view changes thousands of times each day” she says explaining how water mirrors what is happening in the sky. “Most people think of blue when they think of the color of water. And that’s true—but water reflects many iterations of blue. And if the sky is pink purple orange or grey the water will show those colors too” she says. “My paintbrush loves to find them all.”
Art lovers are invited to a VIP gathering to celebrate Caroline’s Coastal Art collection and watch as she paints 6 sunflowers on six canvases live at the Museum from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday August 26th.
During the exhibition a portion of the proceeds from the sale of any painting from her live sunflower painting will be donated to World Central Kitchen.
“Many people who live on the water or dream of living on the water like to bring water into their homes” Caroline says. “I not only love painting; I also love helping people choose the perfect original artworks for their homes and businesses.” To register for this special free event RSVP by August 12.

About Caroline Karp: Caroline Karp is an expressionist painter who has been painting sunflowers her whole life always yellow with a blue background. When she was young she became fascinated with how sunflowers would grow out of street alleyway cracks. No one planted them or took care of them the sunflowers just grew on their own. She admired their strength and perseverance. They are always facing the sun and bringing joy to all beings. Sunflowers signify beauty strength and freedom — which Caroline wants for Ukraine's people. She sees the women fighting there as beautiful sunflowers and the children as brave sunflowers. Many of her artworks are available for purchase through her online gallery and commissions are accepted as well. Visit www.CarolineKarpArtist.com to learn more. See Caroline’s press kit here.
