Ever wonder their names or how many there are? This program will introduce you to North Carolina’s wild butterflies, how to identify them, and how to become a community scientist butterfly monitor for the Carolinas Butterfly Monitoring Program.
This program is intended for adults and will be conducted entirely outdoors. Please come prepared for a walk of up to a mile over uneven terrain by wearing sturdy closed-toed shoes and dressing for the weather. Long pants, a wide brimmed hat, and sunscreen are recommended. We will meet in the Outdoor Classroom, a 2-3 minute walk down the gravel path.
