About this Event

Hosted by Clemson Cooperative Extension Service Pickens County

Join Clemson Cooperative Extension Service for a free one-hour Carolina Yards Mini-Workshop designed to help homeowners create attractive, low-maintenance landscapes that protect the environment. This interactive session will introduce the Carolina Yards Hybrid Course and highlight a few key principles, such as selecting the right plants, watering efficiently, and managing stormwater at home. Participants will take part in hands-on activities, including a quick self-check to assess current landscape practices and an exercise exploring how water moves through their own yard, and learn how they can certify their own yard as a “Carolina Yard” and have the opportunity to sign up for the Spring 2026 Carolina Yards 10-Week Hybrid Course. Attendees will leave with practical tips, take-home resources, and information on how to continue learning through the Carolina Yards.
