The Carol Stream fire District will host its a 2025 open house on Saturday, October 4th from 10 AM until 2 PM at Station 28 located at 365 Kuhn Rd. in Carol Stream. The event offers entertainment for all ages. Shake hands with Sparky and learn how to be fire safe. Kids can tackle the kids firefighter challenge and learn how to stop, drop, and roll. Both kids and adults can try on fire gear and climb a board a real fire truck. Learn to use and fire extinguisher with our fire extinguisher simulator. View live demonstrations of the tools we use on every day emergencies. The police department will be visiting with their vehicle vehicles, along with our Dispatch agency, Ducomm. There are free giveaways for those in attendance. Don’t forget about our fire bounce house. We will be serving free refreshments, hotdogs, popcorn, chips, water, and coffee.
