Let’s meet the artists…
�Carol Hodge is a seven-fingered, piano-pounding, Yorkshire-dwelling Singer-Songwriter. Think Alanis Morissette meets Carole King, but with fewer digits and a continuous existential crisis, sandwiched between bitter irony and relentless optimism. You won’t know whether to laugh or cry, but will definitely feel something. In case she looks familiar, Carol recently won Classic Rock’s Track Of The Week reader vote, is a long-term collaborator with Crass founder Steve Ignorant, plays keys for The Wildhearts, and has guested with the likes of Headsticks, The Membranes, Joe Solo and Paul Morricone.
The remainder of 2024 will see Carol teaming up with Kansas City based songstress Julia Othmer for a UK tour in June; playing various festivals with the Carol Hodge Band; releasing three singles and her fifth studio album. She is also continuing to tour the UK with Ginger Wildheart, and touring the songs of Crass around the UK, Europe and the USA with The Ignorant Band.
Robyn Wallis Johnson sings powerfully about travelling life and avoidant loving, that captivates her audience. Influenced by Joni Mitchell, Lily Allen, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Laura Marling. A mix of folk, pop, country and blues seasoned with heartfelt yet punchy sentiment throughout.
