
About this Event
The Volusia County Explore Volusia program invites you to join Environmental Specialist Tommy Nordmann on a 2-mile hike through Longleaf Pine Preserve and discover some of the carnivorous plant species found in Volusia County and learn about the adaptations these plants have developed over time to survive in Florida’s ecosystems.
** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program.
ACTIVITY: This will be a moderate 2-mile walk.
RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.
TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.
AGES: Ages eight and up are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing for the outdoors
WHAT TO BRING: water, bug spray, sunscreen
FACILITIES: There is a port-a-let but no running water on site.
