Join Maria of Mestizo Academy for hands-on cooking classes that explore the bold flavours and rich traditions of Mexican cuisine. Each small-group session includes cooking, tasting, and take-home recipes. Offered in English and Spanish.
Get ready to master one of Mexico’s most iconic dishes - Carnitas! Originating in Michoacán, carnitas are pork slowly cooked in their own fat with orange, garlic, and spices until tender and crispy.
In this workshop, we’ll cover traditional techniques, plus toppings like salsa, pickled onions, and guacamole. You’ll prep key steps in class and get follow-up instructions to finish at home.
