Vidushi Smt. Sankari Krishnan
Sankari Krishnan holds an M.A. and M.Phil. (Music) and is a gold medalist from the University of Madras. She was initiated into music at a very tender age by Shri K.S. Subramanian of Trichy and received advanced training under the great Vidwan Padma Bhushan Lalgudi Shri G. Jayaraman. She is an “A” Grade artiste of All India Radio, Chennai, and has received numerous awards and titles, including “Sangeetha Seva Mani” and “Ghandarva Vidhyadhara,” among others.
Vidwan Sri. Raghul Ravichandran
Raghul Ravichandran is a disciple of Smt. Vasantha Kannan, Sri. P. Govindarajan, and Sangita Kalanidhi Violin Legend Dr. M. Chandrasekaran. He began learning music at the age of 6 and started performing at the age of 16. He is an A-grade artiste of AIR and Doordarshan. Raghul travels around the world, performing concerts with leading artistes and also giving solo performances. Raghul is passionate about passing on this unique style to students, and he has disciples around the globe.
Vidwan Sri. Sai Raghavan
He received his initial mridangam training from the late Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer and advanced training from the maestro Sri. Patri Satish Kumar in Chennai, India. He is a Grade ‘A’ artist of All India Radio and holds a Diploma and Postgraduate degree in music from Sri Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music. He has accompanied all the leading musicians and has traveled widely.
Vidwan Dr. Nerkunam S. Sankar
A well-known Kanjira artist in the field of Carnatic music, Dr. Nerkunam S. Sankar is the prime disciple of Kanjira maestro Late Sri G. Harishankar. He has completed his M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Rhythmology and is an A-grade Kanjira artiste of AIR, Chennai. Sri. S. Sankar has accompanied many leading musicians both in India and abroad.
He has also designed a modern-age Kanjira with kangaroo skin, bringing innovation to the traditional instrument.
