Hindemith’s "Symphonic Metamorphosis of Themes by von Weber," an exciting and dramatic piece.
Carl Orff’s "Carmina Burana" features the Evansville Philharmonic
Chorus, Evansville Children’s Choir, and three remarkable soloists
(Soprano Alisa Jordheim, Tenor Chrisopher Pfund, & Baritone Christòpheren Nomura) performing one of the most popular choral-orchestral works of all time. The massive work of over 200 performers onstage includes "O Fortuna," famous in popular culture, first introduced to mainstream media in the 1981 John Boorman film, "Excalibur." The song has been used for dramatic effects in numerous films, including "Glory," "The Hunt for Red October," "Natural Born Killers," "The General’s Daughter," and more.
