CARLY PEARL
There are voices that transcend time; voices that would sound just as at home in the twenties as they do today. Carly Pearl has such a voice, and her music will leave you feeling like you’ve discovered an artist you’ve known all your life. Her sound has consistently been described as the lovechild of “Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu.” Growing up in New York, Carly was exposed to a wide array of music. Her carefully curated mixtapes featured Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Bill Withers alongside Lauryn Hill, John Legend and Alicia Keys. With an extensive background in theater, TV/ Film acting, and singing in bands all over the world, this New York-based artist is a successful multi-hyphenate who understands what it truly means to be a performer. She’s using her diverse background to propel herself to the next level, and this era is one in which she’s fully trusting herself and writing her own narrative. Carly Pearl is a work in progress, a raw, open, student of life. She believes music is a powerful tool we can use to shift our perspective and re-wire our minds. On her journey to liberation, Carly has found music to be medicine, and she invites her listeners to heal with her.
ASHLEY SUPPA
When I was six years old, thanks to my dad, I had an amazing experience to sing background vocals on Ace Frehley’s Anomaly album. It ignited my love for singing that evolved into a passion for songwriting. I began studying guitar when I was 12 and found my love for bass guitar at the School of Rock where I learned vocal techniques and refined my live performance skills working with other musicians at the school and also performing in local theater. At 15 I started writing and recording my own songs on a laptop creating demos – one that made it’s way to the Grammy® nominated producer Alex Salzman who collaborated with me on my debut release. Fashion is also one of my passions that I equate to songwriting, both being ultimate forms of self expression.
My songwriting influences have come from so many great artists like David Bowie, Lady Gaga, The 1975, Tyler the Creator, Dua Lipa and Bruno Mars. I write songs that reflect my personal experiences, feelings and perspectives on life hoping that they empower people of any age to think deeper about their relationships and interactions with the world around us.
