🗓️ Sabato 29 novembre, l’artista Carlos Casas torna a Venezia per presentare una rinnovata versione di LACUNAE, installazione sonora e video già presentata a giugno in occasione dell’evento “TBA21 Festa del Solstizio" e risultato della residenza S+T+ARTS4WaterII svolta dall’artista a Venezia.
🌊 Per un’intera giornata, dalle 12:00 alle 19:00, Ocean Space sarà trasformato in un ambiente immersivo che avvolgerà il pubblico in un'installazione sonora e video plasmata dalla nebbia veneziana.
L'immagine evocativa di un pescatore che rema nella nebbia ha ossessionato l'artista e ispirato la sua ricerca. Casas ha trasformato la famosa storia delle origini di Venezia in un'esplorazione acustica sopra e sotto l'acqua, presentando la laguna come uno strumento musicale. L'accoppiamento delle carpe, i moeche, i granchi blu, i fenicotteri, le gru e le anatre selvatiche si mescolano ai suoni antropici dei motori delle barche, alle risate quotidiane dei bambini e alle famose campane della città.
✨ In questa nuova versione, LACUNAE viene arricchita dal contributo speciale della cantante lirica contemporanea Sofia Pozdniakova, con una performance finale dalle 17:00 alle 17:40.
L’installazione è presentata in occasione del festival “Naturalmente connessi” promosso dal Biodiversity Gateway e curato dal CNR-ISMAR.

🗓️ On Saturday, November 29, artist Carlos Casas returns to Venice to present a renewed version of LACUNAE, a sound and video installation already presented in June during the ‘TBA21 Solstice Festival’ event and the result of the S+T+ARTS4WaterII residency carried out by the artist in Venice.
🌊 For an entire day, from 12 to 7pm, Ocean Space will be transformed into an immersive environment submerging the audience into a sound and video installation tamed by the Venetian fog.
The evocative image of a fisherman rowing through the mist haunted the artist and inspired his research. He has transformed the popularized story of the origin of Venice into an acoustic exploration above and underwater, presenting the lagoon as a musical instrument. Carp mating, moeche, blue crab, flamingos, cranes, and wild ducks mixed with the anthropic sounds of boat engines, the everyday laughter of children, and the famous city bells.
✨ In this new version, LACUNAE is enriched by the special contribution of contemporary opera singer Sofia Pozdniakova, with a final performance from 5 to 5:40pm.
The installation is presented on the occasion of the "Naturalmente connessi" festival promoted by Biodiversity Gateway and curated by CNR-ISMAR.
