Acclaimed singer/songwriter Rose Carleo is most notably recognized for her exquisite yet wonderfully powerful voice. Her ability to bring life to songs and make them her own is undeniable. Rose Carleo is the epitome of a hardworking, tenacious and super-talented singer, songwriter and musician with a career spanning more than 25 years.The timbre of her voice is sublime. So much so, that from song to song she can draw on the sultry, smoky huskiness of the blues through to the emotion-laden, angelic-like dulcet tones for which she has perfected through sheer determination and her own life experiences. Rose’s voice has also drawn the attention of many household names such as Jimmy Barnes, Vanessa Amorosi, Beccy Cole and Adam Brand all of whom she has either performed with or opened for while on tour.
Accompanying Rose on this journey is guitarist and songwriter Mick Adkins who for many years has an established background in guitar based rock music but also has a passion for the styles of blues and country blues guitar.
Over the last few years Mick has regularly performed in the Australian super group “Raise The Flag” alongside past and present members of nationally renowned bands such as The Angels, The Choir Boys, Baby Animals, Skyhooks and The Screaming Jets. One of his personal highlights was in 2011 when he shared the stage with bassist Mark Evans and drummer Simon Wright both of whom are past members of international rock stalwarts AC/DC.
While Mick’s background is predominantly rock, his versatility with rock, blues and country is remarkably well suited to Rose’s music style and together they make for a great musical duo
