About this Event
Through hands-on and self-guided activities, discover how birds travel and protect each other in flocks, explore family bonds in the animal kingdom, and write love letters to your favorite beings—whether a human, an animal, or a plant!

Facilitated activities:
- 10am – 12pm: Salmon Ladder Activity – Discover how humans support salmon migration and explore how care strengthens our connection to nature.
- 1pm – 3pm: Storytime & Love Notes from Grandmother Tree – Hear a story about how trees nurture the plants, land, and animals around it, then add your own “love note” to the tree reflecting on care, community, and connection.
Self-guided activities:
- Pair animals with their young and learn about family bonds in the animal kingdom.
- Discover how birds traveling in groups along the Fraser River protect and support each other by building different flock formations.
- Write a love letter and send your affection to your favorite animal, plant, or person.
