Preserve Your Photos, Share Your Story
Caring for your photographs is a meaningful way to honor your personal history and the history of your community. This hands-on workshop will guide you through simple, effective ways to care for your photo collection and create an archival-quality album you’ll be proud to share.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Learn basic photo preservation techniques
✅ Explore the history of photography and how to choose safe storage materials
✅ Create your own album using acid-free materials (all supplies provided—just bring your photos!)
✅ Connect and share memories with fellow participants
Workshop Leaders:
- Nicole Grabow, Director of Preventive Conservation, Midwest Art Conservation Center (MACC)
- Tempe Stewart, Mellon Fellow in Collaborative Conservation, MACC
MACC is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving art and cultural heritage through expert treatment, education, and training.
No experience necessary. Just bring photos and a love of history!This hands-on workshop involves both vision and motor coordination.
