With the number of seniors living longer and continuing to function independently on the rise, Caring Arms Ministries has identified a critical need for more social and physical activity to improve their quality of life. Our programs focus on empowering and encouraging seniors to maintain their independence as long as possible, and we accomplish this by teaching best practices for healthy and joyful living. Our services currently are projected to include:• A box of food provided monthly (for qualified individuals) monthly;
• Activities and classes 2 days a week:
o Educational discussions facilitated by social awareness experts, counselors, nurses, and nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals on a variety of topics relating to healthy habits that will improve quality of life;
o Entertainment, such as The Price is Right, Music Bingo, a large variety of board and word games, as well as card games, dominoes, and so on;
o Arts and Crafts;
o “Walks with the Doc,”
o Information on various available resources in the community.
