The Center for Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx Studies (CLACX) invites you for Caribbean Week from March 24–29, 2025, featuring engaging events celebrating Caribbean culture and scholarship. The week begins with panels on Afro-Caribbean biographies, showcasing leading scholars such as Marlene Daut, Julia Gaffield, Robin Mitchell, and Chelsea Stieber. Our week-long program includes a film screening, an HBCU Caribbean Connections panel, and a VU Caribbean Alumni panel. The celebration concludes with a lively carnival on Alumni Lawn organized by our esteemed students from the Caribbean Student Association.
