Grammy-nominated Cuban pianist/ composer Elio Villafranca along with an all star ensemble of Australia’s leading jazz and Latin musicians, dynamic Afro-Cuban dance troupe RAÍCES and DJ AV el CUBANO and you have all the ingredients of a classic Caribbean-style music and dance party! The vibrant sounds of the Caribbean are guaranteed to fill every corner of Paddington Town Hall on Friday 1 November when the venue becomes a tropical nightclub from 7.30pm-11.00pm. Drinks from Tequila Mockingbird and perhaps food from a modern Mex Food Truck. Cabaret seating, dance floor and YOU! General admission: $45.

The evening begins and ends with DANCE. Raíces Dancers will be combining with the musicians to present folkloric dance before Elio Villafranca takes to the stage to perform works from his latest album 'Standing by the Crossroads'. Elio's music is a fusion of Congolese-influenced Cuban music and jazz featuring the boys from Raíces Dance Ensemble and some of Australia's leading Latin and jazz players. To make sure you get your groove on DJ AV el Cubano will be playing all your favourite dance numbers and have you on the dance floor. Tequila Mockingbird will tempt you with Peruvian-inspired drinks as you sit, relax, enjoy and dance your way through the night.
