The Greater Palm Bay Senior Center will host a CarFit event on Tuesday, October 29 from 8 to 10 AM at the center, located at 1275 Culver Drive NE. CarFit is a free, interactive and educational program designed to improve older driver safety. Trained volunteers provide information to ensure the safest “fit” for older drivers and their vehicles.
There's a lot more to safe driving than how you drive. Having the proper fit inside your vehicle can make a big difference and help protect you and those around you. With CarFit, an educational program developed by AAA, AARP, and the American Occupational Therapy Association, you’ll get information and resources on how you can enhance your safety in the driver’s seat.
Recent survey findings show that senior drivers experience safety-related “fit” challenges with their cars. Encouraging news is that after a run through CarFit, a free driver safety program, 97% of participants’ issues were resolved.
