Carer Support Group for Grandparents of Children with Additional Needs

Take a break from your caring role and a participate in a valuable experience!

Our In-Person Peer Support program is delivered over 8 sessions and is designed as an opportunity for you to learn something new and make connections with other people in your local area in a similar caregiving role. Topics and activities will be chosen by you and the other carers in your group, including yoga, meditation, artistic activities, exercise and presentations from guest speakers, including Advocacy Programs and Service NSW.

Sessions will be held fortnightly from 11am - 1pm on Fridays starting from 16th January, 2026. Carers are encouraged to attend all sessions to get the most out of the experience.

Please note: This event is open to residents living in South-Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains regions in NSW, Australia only. Participants must also be registered with Carer Gateway (we can assist with new registrations for eligible participants).
