Caregiver & Me: Mom's Butterflies and Blooms Workshop

$60 per caregiver and child pair, additional siblings $30/child. Weather permitting, this workshop will be hosted outdoors in front of the shop.

Let's get ready for our upcoming Mother's Day by creating a beautiful botanical watercolor painting of butterflies and blooms to celebrate our Mom's with local artist Mariah P Sotelino.

Mariah is the owner of Illustration by Mariah, LLC and graduated with a Masters in Illustration from Maryland Institute College of Art. Mariah is passionate about botanical illustration and is an author/illustrator of children's books that celebrate our human connection and stewardship of nature.

All levels of artistic abilities are welcome! Mariah will provide tracing templates to work from as well as still life fresh flowers and butterflies (paper reproductions) to inspire your creations. Mariah will provide coaching for techniques in underpainting, perspective, and layout design. All art supplies will be provided. Caregivers and their child will work together to create a final high quality watercolor painting to take home that can be framed, or folded into a card as a treasured Mother's Day gift.
