About this Event
Are you looking to improve your job hunting skills, stay motivated and connect with others pursuing careers like you?
Join us for a workshop and set yourself up for success in your search.
Limited spots available - registration required!
About the Workshop
No more shyness! Learn how to introduce yourself while networking: clearly and confidently.
Networking is a big part of building a career and accessing “the hidden job market”, but it can sometimes feel very intimidating or awkward. In this workshop, you’ll be asked to develop your own personal pitch - a way for you to introduce yourself at networking events.
This workshop will be an interactive and dynamic session. Starting with a short, 15-minute presentation on networking best practices, you’ll then get the chance to apply it. You’ll be paired or put in small groups for short networking sessions, to practice your introductions and provide feedback to each other. We’ll finish with a small recap to review what we’ve learned, and then you’ll be welcome to stay and connect further with other attendees.
What You’ll Need
- Paper and pencil
- A friendly and professional attitude
What You’ll Ge

Note: To ensure a good experience for everyone, all participants must register in advance.

About Career Helpers Canada
We are not a company or charity. We're simply a community of caring, motivated people who want to make the process of job hunting better.
Our Purpose
If no one taught you how to write your résumé, how to network or how to answer tough interview questions, you’re not alone. Job hunting and career changes are ranked as one of the most stressful experiences in life. So, why do we keep trying to do it alone?
Whether you are new to Toronto (or Canada!), a student just entering the workforce or someone looking to make a major career change, this community is for you. This is a place for anyone who is trying to improve themselves, build a career, and likes helping others as well.
We'll be hosting more events in the future, so join our mailing list to get updates! (Sign up at bottom of the page: https://careerhelpers.ca/)
