Crystal Lake Middle School and PTSA are proud to announce “Career Day”, an informative series of conferences that will be held thru the School Year, every month. The main goal of these conferences is that the students could be informed about career options they can have before they reach High School, and could start envisioning their opportunities for their future and orient their studies in the desired direction.
We are conducting these conferences considering the Magnet Programs offered in CLMS: International Affairs and Business, and Engineering and Environmental Sciences.
We are welcoming to the First Career Day Conference to Ms. Michele Campbell, representing the Dual Enrollment Program directed by Broward County Public Schools.
Broward County Public Schools have partnered with Broward College, University of Florida, Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to provide eligible students opportunity in college courses while in high school.
The Dual Enrollment Program is an accelerated program that allows eligible public/charter, private and home school secondary students to take postsecondary coursework and simultaneously earn both high school and college credits, saving both time and money. Dual Enrollment students are exempt from the payment of application fees, tuition, and laboratory fees. College courses are offered at BC campuses and centers, including the Broward College Online campus, and at several high school campuses.
