In 2026, AkiDwA marks 25 years of advocacy and leadership in advancing the rights and wellbeing of migrant women in Ireland. This flagship conference will set the tone for reflection, learning, and forward-looking action.

Aligned with AkiDwA’s Strategic Plan 2026–2029, the event prioritises migrant women’s mental wellbeing, dignity, and inclusion through rights-based, trauma-informed, and community-led approaches.

Migration is often a gendered and traumatic experience, intersecting with challenges such as racism, discrimination, and legal precarity. This conference provides a space to centre migrant women’s voices, share lived experiences, and strengthen collaboration between migrant-led organisations, professionals, and policymakers.
