Cardiff Submission Only Competition (Gi)

The Cardiff Submission Only, No Time Limit competition returns for fourth time.

Details:

Date – Sunday 24th November 2024

Location – Ultimate Fitness Centre Cardiff, 11 Penlline Street, Cardiff, South Wales, CF24 3BD

Time – Weigh ins begin at 10.30am, first matches will commence at approximately 11.30am.

Facilities - Roof top parking (limited spaces available), showers and changing rooms.

Warm Up - No warm up area. Warm ups can be completed on the matted area prior to the matches commencing.

Prizes:

PREMIUM MEDALS for the winner (1st) and runner up (2nd) of the division. There are no 3rd place medals.

Format:

Adults Only, Gi, Submission only, No time limit. The competition has an informal set up. Multiple matches will run concurrently on the 11 metre x 10 metre matted area.

Competitors first match will be against the person closest to them in weight, in the respective skill bracket.

All competitors will be guaranteed 2 matches with double elimination (repechage) brackets. If there are only 2 competitors in a bracket, it will be a best of 3 matches.

Rashguards/ Compression tops, shorts/leggings must be worn. No zips or metal items.

ADULTS ONLY (18 years+)

MENS:

White Belt - U60kg, U70kg, U80kg, U90kg, U100kg, +100kg

Blue Belt - U60kg, U70kg, U80kg, U90kg, U100kg, 100+

Purple belt - U60kg, U70kg, U80kg, U90kg, U100kg, +100kg

Brown belt - U60kg, U70kg, U80kg, U90kg, U100kg, +100kg

Black Belt - U60kg, U70kg, U80kg, U90kg, U100, +100kg

WOMENS:

White Belt - U50kg, U60kg, U70kg, +70kg

Blue belt - U50kg, U60kg, U70kg, +70kg

Purple belt - U50kg, U60kg, U70kg, +70kg

Brown Belt -U50kg, U60kg, U70kg, +70kg

Black belt - U50kg, U60kg, U70kg, +70kg

NOTE - Experienced MMA fighters and Judo black belts should not enter the White belt category.

NOTE - Categories may be merged subject to sign ups. We will endeavour to make any merged categories as fair as possible taking into consideration: Training experience, Weight and Age.

Spectators:

Free to watch, seating and space is very limited. You may have to sit around the edge of the mat.
