Teams of two will build a cardboard boat to race in the Laurel Park Outdoor Pool! Raising Canes gift baskets will be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (fastest speed), most creative design, best team name, and most spectacular sinking! $25 fee is for one team of TWO people.EVENT STRUCTURE:
• Each team MUST have TWO participants in each boat for the duration of the heat. Please build your boats accordingly.
• There will be two brackets- one for 18 and under, one for adults 19 and up, with a max of 12 teams per bracket.
• Teams will be put into a single-elimination bracket upon registration (teams may get a bye in the first round depending on the numbers of teams that register). Everyone is guaranteed ONE race. Boats that lose their race may paddle in the leisure area after their heat.
• Brackets will be announced on regatta day.
• Event may be divided into adult and youth categories depending upon number of registered teams.

REGISTRATION
Registration opens to Rec-Plex Members on Monday, May 6. Registration will open to the General Public on Wednesday, May 8.
Advance registration is REQUIRED and will close on Sunday, July 7 at midnight.
