Card Reading 101

In life, there are times when we just need a little bit more clarity.

​

When no matter how much we think things over, we still hesitate. Times when we feel like we are missing something but it remains elusive.

​

There are times when we need a different perspective.

​

When after a steep challenge, a loss or a turn of fate, we need to feel connected to something larger than ourselves. To understand how we can use what happened for our spiritual growth. When we need a whisper of our next steps.

​

Times when we need to feel the support of the Divine around us.

​

Sometimes we turn to our cards for direction but at times what we need is the power of that healing voice within. When we pull out a card it's like we are resting our head on a trusted shoulder, and as we read that card we feel their reassuring arms around us.

​

Many of us turn to our cards in moments like this. In this class, we will practice how to understand their message to you. So they can be your friend in your time of need.

​

If I am speaking your language, this class is for you.

​

• You are new to using oracle cards, and would love to explore how they work.

​

• You own a deck, maybe even pull a daily card but you feel you are only scratching the surface of its meaning.

​

• You've had some hit-and-miss with your intuition in the past and would like to feel more confident.

​

• You are longing for a way to deepen your connection to the Divine.

​

• You are in the early stages of your Spiritual journey. Perhaps a beginner or wanting an opportunity to refresh your reading skills.

​

Of course, we will be diving into the building blocks of readings. Understanding the strengths and limitations of your deck (so you know which one to use!). We'll focus on the interpretation of layouts and how to string everything together so that its guidance feels like something you can act on.

​

Additionally, we will be working with your Intuition. Often those hit-and-miss experiences can leave us a bit bewildered and guarded when trusting our intuition. That's understandable, and yet, the more we can be open the wider the messages we can receive. So, we'll give that a chance to happen, but always at your own pace.

​

There will also be tons of practice. I will teach you different ways to connect with the cards and their meaning, which will come in handy the next time a card you pulled seems elusive.

Whether you are prone to overthinking or you are the type to get strong feelings but struggle to tease them apart, I will support you in finding your entry point to your deck's wisdom.

​

We will have time for questions and I will personally be checking in to dive deeper into your readings. That is why I keep the group small, no way to offer that in a large group!

​

Woven through all this will be good Spiritual hygiene practices to keep your deck and your aura clear and vibrant.

​

An oracle deck, pen and paper. That's it.

​

​

What if I don't own a deck? No problem, they are easy to get, try Banyen Books in Vancouver or lots of online stores sell them.

​

This is a class for learning how to do readings for yourself. We will not delve into or practice readings for others. There are privacy and ethical considerations to that that are outside of the scope of this class.

​

This is not a Tarot class; we will be working with Oracle decks.

​

Can I bring my Tarot if I already know how to use it? Well, you could... but if you are already proficient in Tarot I wonder if you are truly a beginner? message me first to see if this is a good fit for you.
