Do you want to get your facts straight about the latest climate science, carbon footprints and what we can all do, at home, in our communities and at work?
(This training has a focus on the built environment and construction sector)
Carbon Literacy is a term used to describe an awareness of climate change, and the climate impacts of mankind’s everyday actions. This in-person training course, delivered by UN1TY, will take you through the science of climate change, causes, and solutions.
The course will cover the following areas:
- the basics of climate change science
- what’s already happening globally & locally
- how your actions affect climate change
- the tools & knowledge to reduce your impact
- how to build your own climate action plan
Timescale:
- 2 x 4 hour sessions totaling 8 hours of learning
- 4 hours in week 1, 4 hours in week 2
Session 1 - Thursday 13th February 9-1pm
Session 2 - Thursday 20th February 9-1pm
Participants are awarded an internationally recognised Carbon Literate Individual Certificate at the end of the course.
