About this Event
The report examines business awareness and understanding of climate policy and carbon budgets and identifies challenges and opportunities for Irish businesses. The findings are based on interviews and focus group research conducted in 2023 with representatives of business, policy and other sectors. The report sets out recommendations for business and policymakers to drive impactful business climate action.
The event will feature a panel of speakers from academia, industry and policy, including the report authors:

- Tomas Sercovich, CEO, Business in the Community Ireland
- Dr. Darren Clarke, Assistant Professor in Climate and Environmental Change, School of History and Geography, DCU.
- Caoimhe Donnelly, Chief Sustainability Officer, CIE
Further speakers will be announced at a later date. The research has been funded by the Irish Research Council under the New Foundations 2022 funding scheme.
