Homemade caramels are the best. In this class you will learn how to make a batch of cream caramels with Flour Pot owner, Gina Guth.
Caramels are made with heavy cream, butter, sugar and vanilla. The mixture will be cooked on induction burner. Once a desired temperature is reached the hot mix is poured into a special mold. Then, once cooled the candies are individually wrapped in cellophane. As an extra treat, a portion of the caramels will be wrapped in pecans and dipped in chocolate, thus making Turtles.
You will leave with sweet treats to share or keep for yourselves along with the recipes.
