First 5 Yuba County offers car seat education classes, 1-on-1 appointments, car seat inspections, installation support, and distribution of car seats for Yuba County residents.
Educational classes and 1-on-1 inspections are typically on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 9:00 am and 5:30 pm, at the First 5 Yuba County Office at 1114 Yuba Street in Marysville.
Please allow up to 90 minutes for your appointment.

What to expect?
Education is provided in a group setting, where a Certified Car Seat Technician will review the current laws, types of car seats, and their parts with you. Inspections are done 1-on-1, between the caregiver and the Certified Car Seat Technician. The technician will check the seat for:
Recalls/Expirations
Proper fit in your vehicle
And other potential safety issues.
If the child is present, the Technician will also support in ensuring the car seat is a proper fit for the child. Before leaving,a technician will show you how to properly install the car seat and ensure you are comfortable installing it before the appointment ends.
