Summary:

This session provides an interactive introduction to Threat Modelling and its value in identifying and documenting security requirements. We present our threat modelling technique, which focuses on identifying the “Yes, and…” security requirements necessary to secure the features you’re currently building.

During the session, we’ll cover: the “Five Ws” of threat modelling, with an emphasis on “how”; available tools for capturing models; making threat modelling part of your development processes; and, arguably most important, an approach to getting started when you have existing systems to model.

The skills you’ll learn in this class can be leveraged immediately to build (or improve) your organisation’s threat modelling practice, enhancing stakeholder confidence that you’ve done things right – and done the right things – to secure your applications.

On the third Thursday of each month (and the next day, which is usually the third Friday), we’ve scheduled offerings of our classes, for which all are invited to register on a first-in, first-served basis. Each class session is limited to 30 participants, so be sure to register early to secure your seats.
