Spend a day with Kristen Olson Stone learning watercolor sketching and capturing in your journal the many sights you encounter. If you travel, hike, or like to explore this class will give you the skills you need to keep your experiences alive!

Learn the foundations of Travel Sketching for your own sketching adventures. This class is suitable for beginners through advanced artists.

We'll spend our time together learning the art of travel sketching in a relaxed, positive style as Kristen shows you step by step how to compose, sketch and paint! This workshop is designed to be a wonderful and relaxing experience for everyone, all positive and chocked full of instruction. Have a look at her sketches and you'll see that Kristen has a fresh approach to sketching with wavy lines and playful colors. She will help you develop your own sketching style!

You'll leave feeling inspired with a sketchbook full of happy memories, new paintings and sketching skills and most importantly, a new way of seeing and interpreting the world around you!

Please bring the following to class:

1 travel-sized watercolor set

1 brush

1 pencil

1 eraser

1 unbreakable water cup

A few paper towels

1 permanent ink pen

1 POSCA white acrylic 7mm bullet tip pen

1 sketchbook, size should be between 6" x 8" up to 9" x 12" and the paper weight should be 90lb up to 140lb

A small bottle of water for sketching

**Less is more for sketchers! Everything you bring should fit into a small bag or tote bag.
