🌊 Celebrate 150 Years of Captain Webb’s Channel Swim!150 years ago, Captain Matthew Webb became the first person to swim the English Channel – a 21-hour feat that put Dover on the map for open water swimming. This Bank Holiday Monday, join us to mark the anniversary with a giant Captain Webb puppet, open water swim competition, children’s workshops, live music, storytelling, and a spectacular People’s Procession along the seafront.

Walk with our 6m Giant Captain Webb puppet, the Fat Brass Band, Channel swimmers & a shoal of jellyfish creations! (Collect jellyfish 1.30–2.15pm.)
