Captain Monk is the solo project from California's Bay Area based multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter Jackson Allen. Recently Captain Monk was featured in the movie Honesty Weekend. Growing up he was influenced heavily by The Beatles, Steely Dan, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin. Then found Faith No More, Primus, and Mr. Bungle in his teens. Captain Monk is the vessel to combine all of that into a stew that only The Captain can create.
Jackson has appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Ellen, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Good Morning America and many more. His music has been featured in television and movies.
Jackson has played and recorded with a wide variety of artists including Whitney Houston, Otis McDonald, The Temptations, Narada Michael Walden, Zara Larrson, Nik West, John Cho, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Rubi Green, Tom Johnson, MC Hammer, Run DMC and more.
