The Captain Mac Fitts Memorial Training Weekend is a premier firefighter training conference hosted in the Upstate of South Carolina, bringing together firefighters from across the region for high-quality, hands-on education. This event is held in memory of Retired Captain Mac Fitts of the Lake Cunningham Fire Department, who passed away after a long and influential career in the fire service. Captain Fitts was a mentor, instructor, and leader whose commitment to training shaped generations of firefighters. A key highlight of the conference is the Friday Night Social at Ollie’s Tavern, located in historic downtown Greer.
