On July 25th we present Captain Heaven America & the Evil Foreign Hell Demons written by Bahamian playwright/actor PETRON B.

About the play:

Evil Foreign Hell Demons are lurking under the Foreign Boy’s bed as he dreams of rescuing his father from Hell. Will Captain Heaven America show up in time to save the day?
This is a fever dream not a play. At times this story feels like a comic book, and at other moments a cartoon. It is a raw investigation into the psyche of an island child—a dance between American exceptionalism and the foreign identity.
Petron Brown (aka "Petron B.") is a playwright, performer, arts leader, and an intimacy director. He was born in The Bahamas and immigrated to the US to pursue educational and artistic endeavors. He has won several national collegiate theatre awards, including the KCACTF Meritorious Achievement in Directing, the KCACTF Special Achievement in Performance Award, and the KCACTF ASPIRE John Cauble Award. He is also a two-time KCACTF Irene Ryan Region IV Finalist. Petron’s work as a playwright explores international conversations on humanity. His most recent play, The Colour Woman, is a raw investigation into the psyche of an island child. @petron.brown
