DRAGONAUTS CREW 333 invites all Scouts BSA at least 7th Grade or First Class Rank to:
(1) Learn more about the BSA Venturing Program.
(2) Complete Requirements for the American Heritage Merit Badge.
(3) Visit the US Coast Guard Base on Terminal Island.
(4) Complete Requirements for the Citizenship In The Nation Merit Badge.

PREREQUISITES - MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE MAY 15 - TO BRING TO SHARE ON MAY 18:

REQ #1 - Read the Declaration of Independence. Rewrite the section in your own words. Be prepared to discuss on May 18 why you rewrote the section in this particular way.
REQ # 3 -Select a topic in the national news. It can be what you watch/read for Citizenship In The Nation Req #5.
REQ #5A - Watch "Captain America: The First Avenger" and ANY ONE of the following movies by May 15. Take notes and be prepared to discuss on May 18.

REQ #2 - List the six purposes for creating the United States Constitution set forth in the Preamble to the Constitution. Be ready to discuss on May 18.
REQ #3 - Los the three branches of the US Government. Be prepared to explain the function of each branch and the checks & balances on May 18.
REQ #4 - Research and be prepared to discuss all of the following on May 18:
- Declaration of Independence.
- Bill of Rights & the 14th Amendment.
- Traditional US Motto.
REQ #5 - Watch the national evening news for FIVE DAYS IN A ROW -or- Read the National Newspaper for FIVE DAYS IN A ROW - between May 1 to May 15. Record your dates and news source - and be prepared to discuss the news on May 18.
REQ #8 - List your representatives in Congress. Write a letter to your representative explaining your views on a national issue by May 12 and bring a copy of your letter with any reply you may have received to discuss on May 18.

1) Everyone - BSA Youth and BSA Adult - attending must bring their own completed copy of this Activity Waiver to check in on May 25: - EXCEPT DRAGONAUTS CREW 333.

2) EVERYONE WHO IS 18 YEARS OLD AND UP must email a screenshot of their BSA Membership Card showing their BSA ID and position within their unit BY MAY 10, 2024.

3) EVERYONE WHO IS 18 YEARS OLD AND UP must bring a Government Issued PHOTO ID to check in on MAY 18 that matches their name on the Roster/Manifesto.

4) EVERYONE - BSA Youth and BSA Adult - attending must wear their UNIFORM:
(A) Scouts BSA - KHAKI Uniform.
(B) Venturers BSA - SPRUCE Uniform.
(C) Sea Scouts BSA - NAVY Uniform.
(D) Dragonauts 333 - DRAGONAUTS RED.
(E) Eagle Scouts - Eagle Scout Uniform.
