Captain Hiram’s Resort and Blackfin Restaurant is Florida with a Bahamian beat. There name is in honor of the memory of Sergeant Hiram Collins, who was the great uncle of the founder, Tom Collins. Sergeant Hiram Collins was a brave World War II soldier who was killed at Normandy Beach. He loved the sea and so will always be known as The Captain of the resort. The founder, Tom Collins, came from Maryland to visit family in the early 80’s. The charm of the small town fishing village and friendly community convinced him to stay. Capt. Hiram’s Resort
got its start in 1986 when Tom purchased The River Raw Bar on Sebastian’s waterfront. Since then, Capt. Hiram’s has grown from a small marina and raw bar to the area’s largest waterfront resort and restaurant.
Blackfins Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is Sebastian’s favorite spot for delicious island style favorites, including conch fritters, crab cakes, fish tacos and local saltwater
peel n’ eat shrimp.
Capt. Hiram’s also offers 2 hour cruises. The Sebastian River Cruise will explore the scenic Sebastian River where you will see alligators, dolphin, manatee, turtles, and all the beautiful
water fowl that lives on the river. The River King is handicapped accessible and has restroom facilities on board.
