About this Event
Capoeira - Afro-Brazilian Martial Arts - This class is lead by Macaquinho, and Lobinho, a dynamic duo with more than 25 yrs of Capoeira experience. Capoeira is an art developed by African slaves in Brasil to gain their freedom. It was disguised as dance to minimize persecution, and over the past two centuries, it's evolved into a mesmerizing art that includes combat concepts, dance, and music. This class explores all aspects of this martial art to build well rounded Capoeiristas and a thriving community.
The first hour of class covers fundamentals at a beginner pace. During the second hour, we release our beginners and step things up a few notches to ensure we challenge our intermediate/advanced students.
Our goal is give everyone access to capoeira magic. Martial arts classes of this caliber in Atlanta cost $15-$20 per class, but we believe everyone should have access to Capoeira magic. Support that vision by paying what you can.
