Capitol Park Neighbors would like to invite you to our 7th annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) fall party! Our event is sponsored by Polk County Board of Supervisors and Inmobiliaria Inc.
This day is an opportunity to celebrate! We celebrate the lives of loved ones we have lost. We celebrate the diversity in our community. And we celebrate being able to come together!
This year’s party will be held at the Ding Darling Shelter and playground, 2100 Saylor Rd.
Authentic commemorative altars will be on display in the shelter. Capitol Park will provide hot cocoa and pan de muerto (Mexican sweet bread). NEW this year: Mexican bingo! There will be candy, piñatas, a bouncy house, face painting, and much more!
And, we are excited to announce that we will feature TWO dance performances: Danza Folklórico del Oeste and GFJovenes Embajadores DSM!
We are also hosting local businesses and organizations that are here to help support you and our community, and we hope you can connect with them, too.

Los vecinos de Capitol Park les invitan a nuestra séptima fiesta anual de otoño del Día de los Muertos. Nuestro evento está patrocinado por Polk County Board of Supervisors y Inmobiliaria Inc.
¡Este día es una oportunidad para celebrar! Celebramos la vida de nuestros seres queridos fallecidos. Celebramos la diversidad de nuestra comunidad. ¡Y celebramos la unión!
La fiesta de este año se llevará a cabo en el Refugio y parque infantil Ding Darling, 2100 Saylor Rd.
En el refugio se expondrán altares conmemorativos auténticos. Capitol Park ofrecerá chocolate caliente y pan de muerto. NUEVO este año: lotería! Habrá dulces, piñatas, un brincolín, pintacaritas y mucho más.
Nos complace anunciar que contaremos con dos presentaciones de baile: Danza Folklórica del Oeste y GF Jóvenes Embajadores DSM!
También contaremos con la presencia de empresas y organizaciones locales que están aquí para apoyarlos a ustedes y a nuestra comunidad, y esperamos que también puedan conectarse con ellas.
