Good morning, friends and family, welcome to back to school and work time of year. I'm proud to announce that I was recently selected to join the Board of the Capital Region's American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. It is an honor that I hope to live up to. Now we have some work to do!I'm hoping that you can all join us on September 28th for the Walk For R.I.T.A. Registration opens at 9am. This is a solemn, yet inspiring event that brings together our community in a way that few other events do. There will be tears, there will be laughs, and there will be an undeniable message of love and compassion that will leave you knowing that you are not alone.
Our team got off to a flying fundraising start until I got lazy after the benefit concert! I'm going to try to post some valuable information between now and the end of Mental Health Awareness month to help others who may be in need.
The desire to help others is Garrett's legacy. He was always trying to stick up for the underdog, and constantly brought people together with that infectious smile and big personality. I know that he would be proud of the work that we are doing.
