Calling all CAD users! Connect and converse with fellow product designers.
COG Member and PTC Technical Services Engineer Matt Rohr will introduce us to Onshape. This cloud-native product development platform includes 3D CAD modeling, data management, and real-time collaboration tools with the flexibility to work anywhere with any device. He'll showcase some of the work it's enabled him to do and explain why Onshape is the best CAD solution for modern designers and companies.
Matt is a Certified Onshape Professional with an enthusiastic interest in Computer-aided design, additive manufacturing, and PLM. Before joining PTC, he managed product support at nTopology, developed desktop 3D printing technology at MakerBot, and founded the SOLIDWORKS User Group of New York City. He holds a degree in Technology Management from the State University of New York College of Technology at Alfred.

7:00-7:10 - Welcome and introduction
7:10-7:50 - Matt Rohr - Onshape example projects, demos, and Q&A.
7:50-8:30p - Community open mic! Anyone will have the chance for a 2min pitch to demo a prototype or talk about what they are working on.
8:30-9:00p - Hangout!
What to Expect
- Find street parking anywhere downtown (free after 5pm).
- Enter the vestibule at 30 3RD St.
- Ring the doorbell.
- Sign in at the front desk and create a nametag.
- Find the food!
- Introduce yourself to at least one person you don't know ("What do you make?" is a good icebreaker).
