Capital Nights – Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence
After a brief postponement, Capital Nights is back: reimagined, reinvigorated, and better than ever. We are thrilled to once again invite you to step into an era of timeless elegance and cultural vibrancy at the Capital Black Chamber of Commerce’s 40th Anniversary Gala.
Inspired by the glitz and glamour of 1930s Harlem, this black-tie evening celebrates four decades of leadership, community impact, and business excellence. Guests will be transported to a sophisticated world reminiscent of Harlem’s iconic nightclubs, where smooth jazz, refined cocktails, and dazzling décor set the stage for an unforgettable night.
The evening will honor the Chamber’s rich legacy, spotlight outstanding community leaders, and raise a toast to a future filled with opportunity, resilience, and growth. With renewed energy and elevated experiences, this milestone celebration promises to be more meaningful, more inspiring, and more memorable than ever before.

Formal black-tie attire inspired by the glitz and sophistication of Harlem’s golden age. Think floor-length gowns, tuxedos, and vintage-inspired touches that capture the spirit of 1930s Harlem nightlife—sequins, velvet, feathers, pearls, bow ties, and gold accents. Embrace the timeless elegance and flair of the Jazz Age for an unforgettable evening.
Key Highlights:
Installation of the Board of Directors, responsible for shaping policies and overseeing the Chamber Foundation.
Fundraising for the Young Leadership Collaborative (YLC), which prepares young adults (ages 16–23) for entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and leadership. Since 2009, YLC has graduated nearly 300 students from local schools, colleges, and universities.
Silent Auction featuring an incredible selection of gift baskets, gift cards, and unique experiences. All proceeds benefit the YLC program.
