About this Event
The Capital Area Trauma Summit is a full-day event designed to bring together child- and family-facing professionals in the greater Baton Rouge area to learn about the impacts of trauma and how trauma can be prevented and addressed through coordinated, community efforts.
The Capital Area Trauma Collaborative (CATC), a local group focused on disrupting the harmful effects of trauma on children, will be hosting the Summit. This event will:
- Introduce professionals to trauma-informed care principles and provide resources to support your organization
- Showcase exisiting resources and efforts happening in your community
- Kickoff ongoing workgroups that will collaborate to solve community-specific challenges

This summit marks the beginning of an effort to transfrom Baton Rouge into a statewide leader in understanding, preventing, and addressing trauma for its residents, leading to a strengthened workforce and improved health, education, and life outcomes for our community.
